The Great Spiritual Awakening
We live in a time of great spiritual awakening. Many people are discovering a desire to grow, heal, and be transformed by the power of the spirit. It is as if a wave of light is gently touching our hearts, stimulating change in all aspects of our lives.
You may be experiencing crisis or conflict in your life even as a deep sense of hope is welling up in your heart. You might feel that your life, the institutions around you, and your world are dying and yet birthing at the same time.
Many religions contain prophecies about this time of "Great Spiritual Transformation." The explanations may differ, but most agree that a tremendous change is at hand.
The times we are experiencing on the planet today are unprecedented in all of human history. As we move into these challenging times of global transformation, it is important to recognize the value of crisis as a catalytic agent for spiritual transformation.
The more we can understand about the opportunities and responsibilities hidden in the current challenges, the greater is our chance of making a smooth transition into this cosmic birth of light that is happening on our beloved planet.
A Prophetic Dream
Years ago, I had a dream in which I was reading an ancient sacred document written by an historian from a past civilization. In the dream, I knew that these people were very advanced spiritually.
In this sacred document, the author was describing the process of evolutionary leaps in consciousness. He said that modern civilization was mistaken when it assumed that leaps in the consciousness of humanity randomly occur. In fact, what was required for a leap was a catalytic event that put pressure on the mind and emotions of the race.
This event does not have to be traumatic, although it often is. It could be something profoundly wonderful and ecstatic. The pressure created was similar to the formation of a cocoon that would eventually create a butterfly.
In my dream, I heard the sounds of sirens, warning signals of coming danger. People everywhere were running for cover.
Although there was much anxiety in the air, I remember thinking that there was nothing to fear. I knew that whatever was happening was the catalytic event for the birth of a new consciousness in humanity. Out of this crisis would come both danger and opportunity.
I believe that the events of September 11, 2001, including the subsequent activities, contain the potential needed to catapult humanity into a new level of spiritual awareness, creating a world filled with love, peace, and prosperity. I believe that each one of us has an opportunity to assist in making this transformation a reality, not only in our own lives but for the whole planet.
